Here is an easy way to build a tiny shelter for animals. A project to protect and observe nature.
First off search for a wet and shady spot in your garden.
Your tiny animals need a place which keeps them from getting too dry.
Once you found a spot place your piece of bark or your rock here.
In the hollow part below little animals will find a shelter throughout the day. This place is a safe spot from predators and also keeps them from drying out.
Many animals feed from dead leaves, so be sure to spread some next to their home.
You now want to add a bit of water to make the whole place nice and wet.
You created a home for tiny animals! After 3-7 days you should see the first animals here, for example some snails. Most of the animals living here will feed from dead plant material. They'll act as food for other animals, too - I regularly can see hedgehogs near my animal homes.
