Here is an "80s neon grid" I created for fun. I have no idea if this is historically accurate, I'm way too young, but this is exciting As you can see I used pink and violet hues. On the one hand they contrast each other well, making things glow and stand out. On the other hand it resembles a bit the color palette associated with SciFi art of the 80s.
I used for the sky an image of a nebula (NASA lets you use their images pretty freely).
I messed a bit around with Sculptris and created this lady and her colorful hair. I'm not sure if I like this style, but it definitively was fun to make. I might wanna do some things later with Sculptris, still the most intuitive way of creating 3D models I know of.
I had this up on deviantART for a bit and then deleted it. Someone said it remembers them at the "little prince" and I like this idea.
I love creating alien worlds.
